They were just missing it. Now, after months of effort… after a fierce struggle to obtain your precious recordings… and after dozens of hours of sacrifice on the altar of work… They are brutally falling down the guillotine. I’m talking about stats, of course. Those are your newsletters. From these stats coldly displayed on the dashboard… that take you back to this horrible reality…
We do not care about your content.
You did everything right, though…
- Choose a profitable niche
- content/advertising creation;
- lead magnet attractive;
- Autoresponder, website…;
- And Totti Quante.
It wasn’t enough.
BFT. Cruel world…
Bow your head above your hand, you wonder what could have gone so bad.
Why are you being ignored when you are so good?
Listen, I understand your pain.
But let’s take a step back, if you will.
As you know, today we are overwhelmed with advertisements.
We no longer count the number Mailing List…
Nor the number of emails each entrepreneur sends…
Nor distractions of all kinds that corrupt the mind…
then Why Will people read you and no one else?
Knowing that they have already subscribed to several newsletters…
… and that’probablyNobody wants to be inundated with emails?
How can you become the only person you should follow?
The one whose emails are so good people like?
whose pen is so captivating that people are waiting to see it again?
Really good question.
honestly, It’s a matter of life or death.
Because, you know, we sell via email.
However, it is not the end of the world…
…because there are dumb tricks to creating a good newsletter.
I say “stupid” because even an 11-year-old can apply it.
I’ve discovered, tested and refined it throughout my career as a copywriter.
For about two years, I had the opportunity to work on fairly large blogs, and on topics as diverse as numerology or finance…
…which allowed me to see in the field (and not just in theory…) what really works.
And on top of that, I’ve seen what works in even the most rinsed of attributes, like Make money online.
But before we talk about it, promise me one thing:
Don’t use these methods to sell sh*t.
By “me * de” I mean products that promise magical and effortless results, as well as outright steals.
Well, after all, you do whatever you want, huh.
We are in a democracy after all.
But I still want to mention it.
Tip 1: Invent the difference
Let’s play a little puzzle:
If 95% of emails look like this:
Do we read it?
Are we looking forward to them?
However, most emails today look like this.
❌ No visual editor.
❌ No picture.
A soulless tone.
❌ Boat tip.
The sentences are written in very small.
And that makes sense, when you think about it.
Most people do what is simple and intuitive.
I say: Fatal error.
If we want to stand out, we have to do things that are not easy.
More elaborate things, which require more creativity.
In short: We have to invent the difference.
So… I can already see criticism pouring in:
“Yes, but in order to succeed, you have to imitate those who have succeeded.”
“If all people do the same thing, it must work!”
“I have always been told not to reinvent the wheel!”
However, inventing the difference does not try your luck.
It replicates what works, but in a different way.
It innovates on the basis of what already works.
Do you see the idea?
For example: Stories have been shown to be of interest to humans.
Other than that…the marketers who tell the stories, there are actually some.
To distinguish yourself, you can:
👉 Tell your own story
👉 Tell your current adventures
👉 Draw a comparison with a great event in history.
Here, for example, is how I handle my welcome email:
(This is what you will get if you sign up for my private list).
Immediately, I set the tone:
❌ This is not just another marketing newsletter.
❌ It won’t just be black text on a white background.
❌ It won’t be spam either.
Immediately immerse people in my world…
…and I recognize myself in the blink of an eye.
Anyone who appreciates my world will stay with me.
Not because I’m a better marketer (far from that).
But because I give them a try.
And this, believe me, people appreciate.
Tip #2: Write letters, not emails
This is the kind of newsletter that makes you vomit.
Seriously: Who likes to receive this kind of handout?
Not me anyway.
And your readers probably won’t.
On the other hand, if you just received a letter from a friend who went on vacation to Brittany, you will read it with pleasure. And you will be impatient to read the next part. incorrect ? 🙂
Writing a letter instead of an email is writing something intimate.
Not an intimate situation: “I noticed yesterday that I lost my hair. »
But the intimate situation: “Dear X. I hope you had a good morning. Today I would like to talk to you about…”
Personally, when I was a copywriter, I noticed something:
Writing in a personal tone sells.
It was semi-systematic.
At launch, it was not uncommon to double the spin rate by typing in mode short talk.
This means in a convenient way, without trying to sell.
Just by sharing a fun story and great tips.
Why is it not working so well?
Because by writing in an intimate way, we bring a ray of sunshine into people’s lives.
We color gray more often.
We console those whose lives are sometimes difficult.
We don’t just give ‘advice’.
But in fact to bring value.
Try it and you will see. 🙂
It’s not that complicated.
Just write as if you were talking to someone face to face.
Tip #3: Make reading as easy as possible
This article explains that.
What is the evidence that it works?
You’re still reading me, haha. 😉
Well, having said that, good writing is an art.
It requires knowledge of some writing techniques…
To get used to thinking and writing simply…
And to have a language that a 6-year-old can understand.
But once you master it?
You have super power in your hands.
I weigh my words.
because you can hypnotize People…
… without even realizing it.
all of this for what?
To bring them to your show, of course.
without scaring them…
in short sentences.
Sentences that stem from the source…
Which leads to reading…
… And also.
Is enough :
They are yours now.
I did the hardest part:
Get their attention.
For hypnotic writing I advise you to:
✅ To use the word “6 years old” version.
(Example: “vulgar” instead of “paragon”)
✅ Shorten the sentences as much as possible.
(Example: “hypnotic writing” instead of “easy-to-read writing”)
✅ Avoid text boxes longer than 3 lines.
(Example: I make sure my sentence fits on one line)
✅ to use gravity.
(Example: “No, you don’t… / No, no…”)
This list is not exhaustive.
But once you use these tips, you’ll see a jump in your CTR (and your sales).
author word. 🙂
Tip #4: Don’t write notes
Sorry to be rude, but deep down people don’t care about you.
What they care about is they.
These are their problems, their dreams, their obstacles…
That doesn’t mean we should never talk about you!
Talking about yourself is helpful for creating empathy and trust.
(It is necessary, even).
But it is a question of the reader’s thinking above all…
…and to bring benefit to the customer every time.
(Whether it’s a motivational letter or outspoken advice.)
See, for example, at copywriter Edwin Volff:
He treats his email in an interesting way, talking about manipulation.
Then he makes the link with the topic of Internet marketing.
Yes, it is as easy as pie.
But simplicity works 99% of the time.
1️⃣ Get your audience interested in talking about something dangerous, crazy, weird, or funny that happened to you.
2️⃣ Then you can quickly create the link with a tip in your theme, to give people a good reason to read you.
This structure makes it possible to combine information and entertainment.
(Both are necessary for people to read…
…and ends up buying from you).
Example: You are a dog training instructor.
Instead of talking exclusively about yourself or giving direct advice, you can treat your email this way:
Fragile tip, anecdote and suspense:
That’s all it takes to create a good newsletter. 💪
What are you doing now
We are nearing the end of this article.
But I must tell you one last word:
All these tricks are worthless if …
…You don’t know your audience.
More precisely: If you don’t know what problem you are obsessed with at this moment your reader.
Knowing your audience is the basis for writing an interesting newsletter.
Yes of course, how you write it is important.
But it only works if the subject of the email is of interest to the readers.
And to find out what interests them?
Nothing is better than a good survey.
Ask questions like:
➡ What is your biggest problem right now?
➡️ What was the last training you bought?
➡ What did you not like about this instructable?
You will know what to say in your emails.
And above all, you will know what to sell them.
No more newsletters that don’t convert.
No more white page syndrome.
With these tips, you will finally achieve the success you deserve.
It is up to you, my dear friend.
Sales are waiting for you!
