Mailinblack, the Marseille-based software publisher that makes cyber security accessible to all organizations, has announced the entry of Apax Partners, one of Europe’s leading private equity pioneers (via the Apax Development Fund), and NewAlpha Verto, into its capital.
This new contribution, including also the management team and historical shareholders, will enable the company to accelerate the development of the latest cybersecurity solutions. It will have more than 50 million euros for its diversification strategy, which may involve offshore growth operations.

Build a sovereign online player with a turnover of +40 million euros in Europe
Because Mailinblack has been on double-digit growth since 2015, it has seen 28% growth in its sales and a 15% increase in its customers in 2021. The company in particular has been able to convince a number of small and medium businesses, communities, and health organizations to trust with it.
With the support of its investors, Mailinblack aims to quadruple its turnover by 2026 by accelerating marketing and sales recruitment, strengthening indirect channels, as well as developing complementary offerings. In France as in Europe, in the context of a fragmented market, Mailinblack is already studying acquisitions for publishers whose annual recurring revenue ranges between €1 million and €10 million.
Become a true digital bodyguard for employees
In a digital context that is omnipresent, as useful and polluting, Mailinblack’s vision is to become the digital bodyguard of the greatest number, in the service of digital free will. The company is designing a solution hosted on the user’s workstation to simplify access to the cybersecurity services needed on a daily basis.
This solution will support the employee in managing their digital tracking and participate in their training in a context-appropriate manner. Within this solution, six products will be centered around a user-centric platform and in a DSI service.
