Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing communications and digital marketing strategies to enhance publications and advance GSEP public policy positions. You will also play a leading role in managing the scholarship program and leading the Young Ambassadors community, as well as participating in the dissemination of digital strategy. The position reports to the General Manager.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Contribute to defining organizational communication strategies and procedures
  • Develop relevant content related to the organization’s activities
  • Manage enterprise social networks, such as LinkedIn and Twitter, and create engaging content that showcases the brand’s DNA while increasing overall audience and engagement
  • Leverage social media to amplify key messages and encourage organic promotion through strategic and creative communication
  • Constantly updating and improving the site
  • Oversee the graphic production of reports and all promotional materials
  • Coordinating the preparation of members’ meetings, writing agendas, preparatory documents, minutes of meetings, and summarizing decisions
  • Support the organization of international events
  • Administration of the GSEP Student Scholarship Program
  • Facilitate and organize webinars for the youth ambassador community
  • See the documents in English
  • Respond to any other requests for assistance from member companies

Required profile

  • University degree in Communication, Marketing, International Relations or any other related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in communications or marketing
  • Impeccable written and spoken English with fluency in French
  • Strong computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, WordPress, Turtl, Illustrator, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter and LinkedIn), SEO and related strategies
  • Experience in telecommunications or a related field – international experience is an advantage
  • Ease of working in a team
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent political acumen
  • Ability to summarize complex content
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with senior managers in a multicultural environment
  • Good understanding of issues related to the electricity sector, energy transition and sustainable development
  • Ability to travel and work in an international context
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Be able to legally work in Canada
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset

Role
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and delivering the GSEP communications strategy and highlighting policy positions and project activities. He or she will play a key role in managing the scholarship program and the Young Ambassador, relationships with member firms as well as participating in the dissemination of numerical strategy. The Communications Coordinator reports to the CEO.

  • To define GSEP communications strategies and related action plans
  • To prepare reports and promotional materials such as annual report, position papers, newsletters, etc. and update the GSEP website and social media channels regularly
  • Leverage social media channels to amplify key messages and support organic research through strategic and creative communication
  • To manage and improve the web page and its content
  • To support GSEP’s participation in international events and conferences
  • To administer the scholarship program at GSEP
  • To organize and manage webinars for the GSEP Young Ambassador
  • To exercise quality control of documents written in English
  • To provide support to GSEP members as needed

Profile personly

  • University degree in Communication, Marketing, International Relations, or any other related field of study

  • Excellent technology and computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, WordPress, Turtl, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Excellent working knowledge of social media platforms (eg Twitter, LinkedIn) and SEO strategies

  • Excellent team player with strong organizational and political skills
  • Excellent ability to summarize
  • Good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with senior officers in a multicultural environment
  • Good understanding of electricity sector development, energy transition and sustainable development issues
  • Ability to travel and work in an international context
  • Ability to multitask and respect tight deadlines
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset

Type of the job
