LinkedIn launches marketing certification for content creation and advertising

Free short courses for creating content and ads on LinkedIn

LinkedIn announces the launch of courses on Create content and ads Which allows you to obtain a LinkedIn Marketing Labs certification. “These courses have something to offer to marketers of all levels of experience”, says the social network. Goal: Gain knowledge about best practices to apply in terms of content strategy and understand how to create paid and organic content.

Three courses in Content creation and advertising Available on LinkedIn Marketing Labs:

  • Create an organic presence with LinkedIn Pages: This is a 20-30 minute course that aims to learn how to create and animate a LinkedIn page, but also to take advantage of all the features that will establish your brand credibility.
  • LinkedIn Ads Creative Design: The goal of this 10-minute course is to learn how to design visually appealing ads that encourage users to interact with your content on the platform.
  • Create a content marketing strategy for LinkedIn: This 30-40 minute course allows you to learn how to develop and distribute content throughout the marketing funnel (awareness, reflection, conversion). The goal: to reach the right people at the right time and grow your business.

LinkedIn has announced that these courses are already available in French, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese. At the end of these courses, a 60-minute test is given to test your knowledge of all the acquired skills. This assessment can be done a maximum of three times, and a placebo test is suggested before starting.

Certification for content strategy needs

Once they take the test, LinkedIn users receive a certificate that can be added to their social network profile which will last for two years. According to the platform, the concern is twofold for professionals:

  • Gain the knowledge and tools to create a content marketing strategy that stands out in a crowded market,
  • Demonstrate experience in developing paid content and membership.

To support its point, LinkedIn relies on a HubSpot study of the state of marketing in 2022, noting that “The importance of content continues to grow, with 66% of marketers planning to spend more of their budget on it this year”.
