Main responsibilities
The Director of Communications and Marketing at Musical Concours International Montreal (CMIM) manages all files that contribute to the impact of CMIM and its deserving artists.

Both the leader and team partner, he or she is creative and independent. He or she ensures the smooth running of assigned tasks and responsibilities by implementing them and by bringing together project managers and external collaborators adapted to the needs.

Under the supervision of the General Department of Operations, the Director manages the following files:

  • communications strategy and plan;
  • strengthening CMIM activities through the use of various means;
  • relations with the press;
  • Presence on the Internet and social media;
  • Relationships with the CMIM community;
  • Respect the CMIM brand image.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or other related disciplines;
  • At least seven years of significant work experience or equivalent in communications, public relations and/or marketing, preferably in the event field;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;
  • Having a good knowledge of performing arts and classical music is an added advantage;
  • Availability to work irregular hours during events;
  • Proficiency in Office suite programs, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign;
  • You have a very good knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin) and digital marketing (Mailchimp, Google Analytics) and their uses.

Required qualifications

  • Interest and ability to work in a team, in close collaboration with internal team members and with various agencies, partners and CMIM clients.
  • Great sense of priorities and work organization – interest in strategy and strong skills in good communication management will be viewed favorably;
  • Independence and proactiveness.
  • Creativity, dynamism, curiosity and sociability.

Type of Contract

  • 35 hours / week, flexible schedule with the possibility of working remotely;
  • A creative work environment, open to innovation;
  • Contract position for the first year, renewable based on performance;

  • The combined time between remote work, office work sessions and work of an event nature (from April 21 to May 4, 2023);
