Marketing and Business Development Coordinator | JULING WLG

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Marketing Department in Montreal in an integrated manner with the national marketing team. The incumbent receives direction and some guidance; Certain tasks and goals are accomplished independently.

This position is a one-year contract (alternative maternity leave).


  • Support the Business Development and Marketing Manager in developing and implementing marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Manage updates and social media monitoring for Gowling WLG in Quebec in accordance with the national strategy.
  • Develop editorial content for various communication mediums, including web content, podcasts, brochures, advertisements, appointment notices, press releases, newsletters, as well as training and presentations.
  • Assist in organizing events when necessary.
  • Support the national digital marketing team, including marketing communications and site updates.
  • Ensure communication tools are reviewed and comply with established guidelines and style.
  • Edit and review professional resumes to ensure transcripts are accurate, clear and concise.
  • Coordination of the production of advertising and marketing materials
  • Coordination of photo sessions.
  • Any other related task as needed.

  • University Diploma/Certificate in Marketing, Communication or Journalism.
  • At least (2) two to (3) three years of relevant experience in marketing, including social media
  • High level of motivation, resourcefulness, creativity and knowledge of trends in the areas of digital marketing and communication.
  • Strong social media management skills.
  • Excellent writing, research, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, where meeting deadlines is critical, as is attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office suite, knowledge of web tools, Photoshop, Illustrator. Knowledge of HTML coding will be an asset.
  • Bilingual (French/English) required.
